Dr Kabasele Kasongo
Kabasele (Kas) graduated from the University of Kinshasa in 1983.
Kas specialised in Chemical Pathology at the Wits Medical School and obtained his FC Path (SA) in 1997.
He then set up own private path lab in Port Elizabeth shortly after thereafter before joining PathCare in
He holds a post-graduate diploma in Health Economics from UCT (2008). Kas is a member of the ministerial Task Force for Polio Eradication. He is also a member of the Namibia University of Technology curriculum committee and has been the coordinator of the HIV clinicians Society in the Nelson Mandela
Metropole for the past 10 years.
Kas is a benevolent advisor to the UDIPA HIV management committee. His fields of interest include HIV
Medicine, Endocrinology and Molecular Clinical Biochemistry.
