Prof Juanita Bezuidenhout

Juanita studied medicine at the University of Pretoria and obtained her MMed (Anat Path) and PhD (Anat Path) from Stellenbosch University. She remained in academia where she practised as a histopathologist, with a special interest in lymphnode, ENT and pulmonary pathology; trained undergraduate and postgraduate students and performed research in Anatomical Pathology and also in Health Professions Education, her other interest. She served on the Medical and Dental Board and is still involved in the accreditation of under- and postgraduate training. She became a full professor in Anatomical Pathology in 2012. In 2014 she left academia for private practice, and joined PathCare full-time in Klerksdorp in 2018; the year she also obtained a qualification as an Integral Coach Practitioner. She is now a general pathologist.
