As a result of exposure to and understanding of the overall economic position of individuals throughout South Africa, we are constantly aware of healthcare cost both for those with and without the benefit of medical aid. We understand the future of pathology and our vision is to render a comprehensive and affordable service to all sectors of the community at all times.

"PathCare has opened doors of opportunities, new experiences and skills for me. I started the Phlebotomy Learnership programme in 2006 and qualified in 2008, with the guidance and encouragement from the Academy trainers.I am currently the only Phlebotomy Technician who is giving training at PathCare nationally. This is my 5th year as a trainer and I am still enjoying it!"
Luvuyo Gelo Training Specialist: Phlebotomy
"I started at PathCare in 1983 as a Medical Technician. When the opportunity came up to attend a training course in Andrology at Tygerberg hospital, I grabbed it… PathCare gave me opportunities to grow and reach my goals. Now I am in the privileged position to give back. I want all my staff to be able to realise their potential and I want to assist them to reach their goals."
Diana Van Lill Zone Manager – Louis Leipoldt
"PathCare changed my life by opening my eyes to what I am capable of. I applied for the Laboratory Assistant course in 2009, passed the board exam in 2010 and thanks to PathCare I am now a qualified Laboratory Assistant. I never envisioned myself coming this far in life. I am proud of myself and proud to say that I work for PathCare… "
Sydney Mbombo Laboratory Assistant
"I have been at PathCare since 2006. I started as an in-service student from CPUT, I am one of the first Academy Interns (can you believe it!). Eric Spencer came to give us a presentation about PathCare and I immediately fell in love with the organisation. We applied for the bursary and I was one of the students who were fortunate enough to receive one."

HOW OUR TALENT PROCESS WORKS?
PathCare endorses a competency-based approach when acquiring talent. During this process we focus not only assessing candidates against the appropriate competencies but also take into account the PathCare values. This approach supports our belief in following a fair and transparent process.
Positions are initially advertised internally so as to encourage the promoting and developing of internal talent. However, we also advertise externally across various mediums but more specifically on the PathCare website.
Over and above interviewing, the talent acquisition process may include proficiency/psychometric testing for shortlisted candidates to determine further suitability for the position.
As an employer, we are committed to equality in all employment practices and the company’s approved employment equity plan and targets will be considered as part of the talent acquisition process.
