An opportunity exists for a Printer Operator to join the team in the DTP department at our N1 City branch in Cape Town. We are seeking an individual who displays a high level of ethics and integrity while consistently aligning with the PathCare values.
Key Competency Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- Basic Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Reader – Pdf)
- Knowledge of CorelDRAW and Meditech is advantageous
- Digital Printing background, fast paced copy shop working environment is advantageous
- Proficient in all relevant tasks and keen to train newly appointed staff
- Client-focused with excellent attention to detail
- Display initiative
- Ability to problem-solve
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure, independently as well as in a team
- Adaptability
- A positive attitude & flexible work-style
- Must be fluent in English with an understanding of Afrikaans
- Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends & public holidays
- Must have an acceptable track record/performance record with regard to the technical and behavioural competencies required to perform in this position
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate incoming printing requests and respond to urgent enquiries
- Prioritise order slips and assign print tasks to the relevant production line
- Take new orders, resolve queries and negotiating delivery timelines over the phone.
- Operate both the duplicator (Duplo) and laser printers (Toshibas)
- Setup and printing of personalised forms on CorelDRAW, Word and Pdf
- Operating the guillotine to trim books to specifications
- Stack and binding of printed sheets into the bookbinder
- Label printing and maintenance of machinery
- Dispatch of forms/labels
