Jan’s journey started in January 2006 when he joined PathCare as a courier in the transport department at
PathCare Park in Cape Town.  Soon after, in April 2007, he successfully applied for a full time course with the
PathCare Academy as a Student Laboratory Technician.  He graduated as the top student in his class.

In January 2008, Jan was appointed to a position at our Mediclinic Panorama branch.  Being very ambitious
and eager to learn, Jan was quickly promoted to Senior Technician and subsequently transferred to our
Somerset West laboratory.  In September 2018, Jan transferred again to our Kuilsriver laboratory, where he
has the rare opportunity to work on stem cell preservation with our Clinical Haematologists.
