Originally from Hartbeespoort in the North West province, Reinhardt completed his medical degree at the University of Pretoria in 2014, followed by internship at Rob Ferreira Hospital in Mpumalanga from 2015 to 2016. He stayed on at the hospital in 2017 to complete his community service in the Department of Internal Medicine. In 2018, he began registrar training in Chemical Pathology through the National Health Laboratory Service and the University of the Witwatersrand, qualifying in 2021.

He joined PathCare in 2022 and worked in the Gauteng region for two and a half years. In July 2024, he transferred to PathCare’s Boland and Overberg region, where he is now based in Somerset West.

His interests include lipidology and cardiovascular risk reduction, laboratory informatics and data analytics, and LC-MS/MS-based testing. He is also involved in clinical education and outreach, supporting healthcare professionals across disciplines in making effective use of laboratory medicine.
