Dr Sonya Izaaks completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Stellenbosch in 1999. She then did her internship at the Windhoek Central Hospital complex in 2000 and worked as a medical officer thereafter.
She returned to Cape Town (UCT) in 2002 as a hematology registrar at Grootte Schuur Hospital after wich she have been employed as a Hematopathologist at the Namibian Institute of Pathology (NIP) from 2007 until 2014.
Sonya has a special interest in Laboratory Quality Management and flowcytometry.
