PathCare is a partnership of pathologists in private practice across South Africa that has been assisting doctors and healthcare professionals determine and confirm diagnoses since 1923. We are registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) and all our laboratories are SANAS accredited.

An opportunity exists for an Anatomical Pathologist to be based at our Somerset West laboratory with responsibility for supporting and providing histopathology in the Winelands and Overberg areas (Stellenbosch, Strand, Gordon’s Bay, Eerste rivier, Hermanus etc).

Key Competency Requirements

  • FC Path (SA) (Histology) qualification is required and an MMed would be advantageous
  • Current registration with the HPCSA as an Anatomical Pathologist/willing to register with the HPCSA
  • Client focused with strong interpersonal relations
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of people
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and display resilience and tenacity in challenging situations
