PathCare is a partnership of pathologists in private practice across South Africa that has been assisting doctors and healthcare professionals determine and confirm diagnoses since 1923. We are registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) and all our laboratories are SANAS accredited.

An opportunity exists for a Stock Controller to join the PathCare family at the warehouse at our N1 City branch in Cape Town. We are seeking an individual who displays a high level of ethics and integrity while consistently aligning with the PathCare values.

Key Competency Requirements

  • • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
  • Meditech experience will be advantageous
  • Basic Excel knowledge with regard to capturing of spreadsheets & utilising of formulas
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Experience of stock handling/management will be advantageous
  • Client-focused with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective planning and organisational skills
  • Accountability
  • Displays initiative
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently as well as in a team
  • Ability to influence and motivate the team
  • A positive attitude & flexible work-style
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must be prepared to work overtime on weekends & public holidays
  • Must have an acceptable track record/performance record with regard to the technical and behavioral competencies required to perform in this position

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking and packing of orders
  • Monitor and check all warehouse inventory prior to distribution
  • Monitor cost effectiveness and ensure stock rotation
  • Processing and delivery of stock for both internal orders and supporters
  • Communicate stock problems to internal customers
  • Resolution of queries from internal end users
  • Assist with regular cycle counts and stock take
  • Assist with other warehouse functions as delegated by the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Provide back up for other Stores functions
